Gate in the Servian Wall (*Muri: Quirinalis) located along the W edge of the *Quirinal, at the top of a natural depression near Via della Dataria (Paulus, in Festus 437: Salutaris porta; Richardson; contra, Carafa); no remains are extant. The name of this gate derives from the Temple of *Salus (aedes Salutis), and the likelihood of this site is reinforced by the nearby *Compitum: Vicus Salutis (CIL VI 31270; Coarelli). The road passing through the gate, alternatively called the *Vicus Salutaris or considered an extension of the *Alta Semita, linked the *Campus Martius and the Quirinal.
