A long, curved street running roughly parallel with but inside the Servian Wall on the E *Oppian from the *Clivus Suburanus to the *“Via Tusculana” in the *Colosseum Valley (Lega, Richardson). Part of this street has been found on the W boundary of the *Horti Maecenatis (Lanciani, FUR pl. 23); a small section excavated in Via Mecenate just N of Via Carlo Botta is dated by construction techniques to the Republican period (Häuber 22). It probably continued N across the *Vicus Sabuci to the Clivus Suburanus, since its probable course is visible in the network of streets shown on the Severan Marble Plan (Rodríguez Almeida, Forma pl. 10; Häuber map 1). Its S course is attested leading down to the Colosseum Valley (Lanciani, FUR pls. 23, 30). *“Vicus Curvus/Corvi” may have been the name of this curved street across the E Oppian passing through the area most likely inhabited by the vicucorvenses.
