<p>Republican residence located in the *Subura on the *Argiletum, and known from an inscription marking the extent of the property that was found <i>in situ</i> in the basement of a house near S. Maria dei Monti in 1628 (<i>CIL</i> VI 29790=<i>ILS</i> 5993=<i>ILLRP</i> 493: C. SESTI C.F. MVRVS TOTVS PROPRIVS EST ET LOCVS VBEI IS MVRVS STAT; Lanciani, <i>FUR</i> pl. 22). A wall of <i>opus reticulatum</i> was seen adjacent to the inscription (Lega, Blake 261).</p>
